Gets busy on match days, but always worth a visit. For my money, Newcastle's best pub. Great beers, brilliant surroundings. Love it.

The Castle, Holland Park

We made the Castle our regular during a recent stay in London. Great food and drink, good service and a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

The Boathouse Inn, Wylam

The beer here is great and has been for the past two decades. There's always lots of ales to choose from and they're very well kept. The pub itself is a bit grotty these days and could do with redecoration, but if you love your ales and don't mind the occasional smell of damp dog you'll probably love it.
