The Lyceum, Strand

I tried this for the first time last night. Impressed! Might not be the nicest place on earth, but no nonesense traditional English Local. The staff were friendly, the beers are exceptional value for central London and all Samuel Smith's. so lagers are brewed to German purity laws - none of your mass produced gaseous beers here. Look past the decor and give it a try.
