The Old Goat, Fulwell

We went to The Old Goat last night expecting good food and a pleasant evening. We sat outside for some 10 minutes with no-one bringing a menu or asking us to order drinks, so we went inside to get menus and the waitress said she'd come to take our order. After another 10 minutes she came and took the order for drinks and food. The drinks took 15 mins to arrive. We were hungry and thirsty so noticed the time. We had been there for over an hour by the time our first course arrived. This is not acceptable.

Our previous visits to The Old Goat have been more successful, but in an area where there is a huge choice of eating places one poor experience can have a large impact on word-of-mouth recommendations and people will go elsewhere.

This review is intended to inform rather than complain. The food was fine.
