The Lord Clyde, Borough

Fantastic little pub. Nice selection of ale, reasonable prices and an interior that seems not to have changed much since it was built - very charming! As an added bonus, it has one of the cleanest, well-kept ladies' toilets that I've ever seen in a pub. Well worth a trip - and if you live in the area it's almost guaranteed that you'll be back.

The Mayflower, Rotherhithe

This is a gorgeous little pub, with a spectacular deck right on the Thames. It is not the cheapest place around (the food is particularly extortionate), but it has a nice selection of Green King ales. You can also order a pitcher of Pimm's, which is a lovely thing to do on a sunny summer evening, sitting out on the deck.
