The Bold Dragoon, Weston Favell

I felt compelled to write a review having looked the pub up on the net and seen such negative comments.
Working in the area I visited this pub today. I just had a jacket spud and a soft drink -not a big bill- and yet the staff could not have been nicer. I felt a little uneasy in the main bar being female and alone but i was ushered into the conservatory by a smiley 'mine host' and served by a pleasant young lady. My potato was served with a lovely salad- no limp lettuce in sight and I was asked if my meal was ok.
My fellow diners all appeared to enjoy their lunch- empty plates were going back
I think it is a shame to knock ones local when there are so many local pubs closing on a weekly basis. There may have been problems in the past but they were not evident today
I for one will be going back!
