I've recently visited the Selsey a few times, as friends live nearby. A very pleasant pub, surprisingly peaceful, given its location at a crossroads on the A272. Friendly staff, interesting locals, most of whom don't bite. Currently well kept Flowers IPA and Gales HSB on tap. Good food and generous portions. A good old local pub, not trying too much to be a restaurant. If only I lived within walking distance.
PS - This is the first pub I've rated, so take the score with a pinch of salt.

The Malt Shovel, Horsham
I'm surprised there aren't any more recent comments. I would class myself as an ex-regular - don't get in here as often as I'd like - but this is the only pub in Horsham I do go into on a fairly regular basis.
After a few ups and downs, The Malt has taken on a new lease of life under Sam, the new landlord. Excellent beers, a vast array of "interesting" spirits, good food and plenty of live music and other events. Good staff, who know how to keep track of the punters and the boss plays a mean guitar himself. What's not to like?
