The Mucky Pup, Angel, Islington

Visited this pub for the first time last friday after going to the cinema on Upper St. Ordered 2 pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord and a Whisky & Coke. The TTL had just gone, so I asked for Black Sheep instead. There was no ice for the Whisky and Coke. When I got back to the table one of the bitters was quite obviously off (only one though... I suspect that it was actually the TTL perhaps accidently topped up with Black Sheep). I went back to the bar and said 'this pint's off' whereupon the barman gave me a look as if I didn't know what I was talking about (I'm 46, I know what a bad pint tastes like!) He tipped it down the sink, and proceeded to refill the dirty glass with Black Sheep. Astonished, I said 'no, no, in a clean glass please' to which he replied quite aggressively "alright mate, I'll get you a clean glass then" as if he was doing me a favour or something.

An ice bucket finally appeared and my friend was able to chill her half consumed drink.

Black Sheep was fine. But what appalling service and attitude.
