The Malt Shovel Inn, Eynsford

Pub serves good quality pints, but unfortunately food was ok. Ordered the steak pie, and got a massive piece as it was the last bit - didn't know whether he was being nice or clearing out the kitchen.
Unfortunately its turned into a London retreat - mums in 4x4s parking all over Eynsford and the Ford trying to show their kids what the country is like.

Manor Farm Barn, Southfleet

First of all, this pub is a franchise of the Shephard Neame pub, therefore the beers are going to be limited. Set in the nice village of Broadditch (which locals call Bradditch, based on the tale of a thief pronouncing it BROAD DITCH not BRADITCH), its a converted barn that has two floors of usual table and chairs, and more relaxing areas consisting of comfy sofas and coffee tables next to the fire.

The beers are obviously limited, however this does not limit the pub. A firm choice of Spitfire or Master Brew, of which I am yet to see Master Brew in another pub. A very clean pint, and so was the next. Other drinks included the usual lager and same cider, and the same for the soft drinks.

A very quiet location, you have a duck pond on the opposite side of the road, and a picture-esque farm shop that reminds you of the Darling Buds of May. Not much in terms of a garden, but you can have a wander around the place. A small garden at the front, and some benches at the back near the car park. Parking is round the back, and there is plenty of room.

A nice Kentish pub that you can enjoy a few pints of Kentish ale that Pa Larkin would be proud of. Perfik!
