The White Horse, Brentwood

What can I say, 7hand pulled bitters, 7ciders plus the usual lagers etc for the poor souls who have lost their way and forgotten what good beer is like. I have only used this place for about 10+ years so either I am very happy here or unable to change. The former as I like the beer, the staff and the regulars. To -day though I had the expirence of a numpty who walked in with a lady friend, the barmaid attended to serve them, which now took about4mins for them to decide. Next time round he was worse he started to order then turned his back to the barmaid to talk to his lady friend, and got upset because she was serving DRINKERS who knew what they wanted. Good pubs like this can do without plonkers like this. Keep up the good work Jason. Pat and dog

The George and Dragon, West Haddlesey

I stumbled upon this watering hole in February this year whilst looking for a place to drink when I move from London to Yorkshire, I took a wrong turning and found this place. I have stopped here about 6times now and hope to move into my new home in a couple of weeks time. And guess what , I will have TWO new homes, 'cos the beer is good (for me) and the food is very good for both of us. Having read some previous comments either there are two pubs with the same name in the area or perhaps the writer went to Mac's and thought they had gone to the ritz for cucumber sandwiches. We ordered and got good homemade food (too much for me). But I did not see "sour grapes" on the menu!! So they must have the wrong pub. WATCH OUT BRUNO
