Profile information

My local pub area is Barnet, north London, but some of my friends live in south London, so we often meet in a pub in central London or the south London area. I only drink hand pulled beers, bitters, milds, stouts, Real Ales in general, or a good cider, but not lagers at all.
Sometimes I might return to an area I used to work in years ago just to go back to a pub I used to drink in. Unfortunately, after so many years, the pub has often disappeared or completely changed( or is that just me ?). I like to keep a mental log of the boozers I've been to, and so have found beerintheevening a good site for exchanging pub trivia/facts.

The Cat and Lantern, East Barnet

This pub no longer exists as The Cat and Lantern. It has been turned into a sort of theme bar with a different name.

The Fox on the Hill, Denmark Hill

Have been here many times with a few local friends. I've found the tables very messy and not cleared up by staff, and don't like the way the beer is always served from the other side of the bar so you can't see what you are being poured. How do you know that Pedigree IS a Pedigree when you can't watch what the staff put in your glass?

The Knights Templar, Chancery Lane

Seems to have completely died during the afternoon lunchtime period after the recent smoking ban, but picks up from about 4pm, so if you want some "life", go about 5pm when all the barrister boys are there.
