The Sloop Inn, Scaynes Hill
Superb food and a great range of well kept beers, set in an idyllic spot between Scaynes Hill and Freshfield. I understand they have a cricket club, a stoolball section, a golf society and a quiz on the 1st Monday of every month, so always something going on. Thoroughly recommended for a visit, it's on the Sussex 'Ale Trail' and deservedly so, so make the detour.
