Profile information

Started drinking aged 4 with my dad at "The Spotted Dog", Neasden (now a block of flats)and continued with him at "The Harrow Tavern" Wembley (now an old peoples' home). They were both s*** pubs, but that's no excuse for demolishing them!
Continued drinking beer (real!)around Middlesex, Leicester, (university days), Hertfordshire, Bucks, well everywhere really.
Now settled back in Middlesex (who says it doesn't exist?)and seeing the gradual decline of the traditional pub.
My local is a Wetherspoons (The william Jolle, Northwood Hills). At least there I can still get proper beer at proper prices!

The Star, South Harrow

Used to be "The Constellation" Built in 1957. Rubbish then, rubbish now.

The Timber Carriage, Harrow

A terrible pub, but part of my teenage rites of pasage. I used to be consigned to the Gents in 1968 to roll joints, as I was the only one of our crowd who could do it properly!

The Weald Stone Inn, Harrow

Used to be "The Red Lion". Why isn't it still?
