The Central Hotel, Gateshead

Good range of well kept beers suiting all tastes and all served in best condition. For those wanting food there's a comprehensive menu of wholesome food. There were four of us and we all had something different. Not one complaint, and the fat chips were excellent.

Upstairs is a venue for live music which appears to be very popular. All in all a very good pub which I'll return to when next in the area.

The Antelope, Surbiton

Under new management - now a free house with a large selection of constantly changing real ales - ten, plus five ciders and various bottled beers .......... beer selection and condition were very good . The food looked pretty good too. Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area as it certainly beats all the other local hostelries and there's some good ones!

Thomas Rigby's, Liverpool

Decent selection of ales in good condition. Lively atmosphere and bar staff were quick off the mark and knowledgeable. I'll be happy to return next time I'm in Liverpool.
