The Plough, Dulwich

Amazing pub. Was here for a friends baby naming ceremony on the Saturday and went to visit on the Friday and Sunday.

FRIDAY - Live music was on, a very lively jazz act. They were brill. Full table service which was brill to see in a British pub. They were busy, but the staff were knowledgeable about the drink range. Excellent pint of DoomBar.

SATURDAY - We had one half of the pub closed off for my friends party. The buffet food was great, varied and interesting. The staff were busy but didnt forget about us at all.

SUNDAY - Sunday lunch was yummy, again full table service we had a table of 14 in the conservatory. The staff weren't as attentive as they were on Friday but still knowledgable and competent.

A classic pub that has moved with the times to keep evolving. Liked the full table service, the range of draught products.
Disliked the outside wasnt to a fantastic standard and could do with a facelift.

The Vittoria, Clifton

A good pub, ruined by a surly obnoxious landlord.

On one occasion, I was told off for ordering as he was clearly on a break.

On another occasion, I ordered food and it arrived burnt and cold (a remarkable achievment!). When we complained the landlord told us that we had been chatting to long and it had gone cold whilst we sat there.

A pity because it boasted a good selection of real ales.

Penny Farthing, Clifton

Have been coming in and out of this pub for the last six months. Overall I think it is an excellent pub. Nice selection of ales, reasonably well kept.

The staff are all excellent, you don't see the manager as much in the evening - but I normally catch him early afternoon and he is polite, friendly and always enthusisatic - a welcome change to some other landlords in the area.

Overall a good pub - and now a new chef has arrived (folllowing, if rumours are to be believed the sacking of the previous ones for a errr illegal additional income), an ever improving food offering.

Well done Wadworth on another great pub.
