The Earl Ferrers, Streatham

I don't know what on earth Greedy Boy is talking about - this pub is the local I have been looking for since moving to this area 6 years ago! I certainly haven't found it lacking in cleanliness. Lovely location, this is a relaxed, unpretentious neighbourhood pub that only seems to be doing well by word of mouth as it's so hidden away. The management are doing an inspired job of making it exceptional on every level and they don't seem to be overdoing it either. Excellent varied beers on tap including guest beers, excellent and plentiful and inexpensive food, high quality live entertainment, warm friendly staff, child-friendly, no big screen, no fruit machines, no loud music, lovely decor (a bit shabby admittedly but I think there are moves to update that shortly) and best of all, the atmosphere is the friendliest I have come across in a London pub in years. Everyone seems willing to chat to each other, it's like you're at a party. Let the good times roll!
