The Allied Arms, Reading
This has to be the biggest joke in the South of England. Let me explain. 1. They say they are "The best pub in Reading" No, you won "Traditional Pub of the year only. 2. Their opening times are completely changeable. 3. The Landlady and landlord will bar you for any thing from swearing to having a laugh to taking to long to order - even if you are some poor old boy politely waiting to be served. 4. It is the most expensive pub in the town. 5. This place is a complete joke - except it isnt funny.
Do yourselves a favour, dont bother going unless you want to be kicked out - probably the best think they will do for you. The owners were in the Hitler Youth, Im sure.
Terrible place with an awful juke box; and despite what they say, the garden isnt anything either.
Stay well clear of this HellHole.
