The Dukes Head, Wallington

We love this pub. The food and service is excellent. Worth every penny.
The hotel is beautiful as well.

The Leather Bottle, Earlsfield

This week my family had a wake for my auntie at this pub. The food and service was very good. However while we were eating a meal that we had decided to have while ewe were there, a member of the bar staff came up to my cousin and virtually accused her of lying about paying for the use of the room and the drinks bill.
My cousin (who is extremely honest and whose mum we had buried that say) was told she had not paid. They were not prepared to take my families word that it had been paid.
In the end the only thing that resolved the situation was the fact that they had given us a receipt and change of the bar bill stopped the situation.
This caused a very sad day to go from bad to worse and my cousin broke down at that point and has been signed off work sick.
The management need to think about the customers and don't send a silly girl to sort this type of thing out. Also it was very wrong to do that in front of 15 other people.
We will not be returning to this pub again.
