The Star Inn, Glossop

Great pub with friendly locals and excellent ales. Good selection of different bar snacks too. Highly recommended.

Norfolk Arms, Glossop

Came from the Star Inn to get some food. What a disappointment! Beer very second rate, (IPA had to go back as was off), and kitchen shut at 20:00. Maple moon wasn't great, but staff quite helpful and polite.

The Rose Inn, Shotley

Have visited a couple of times now since the new management. Very friendly and welcoming, excellent, reasonably priced food and always at least one real ale in perfect condition available, and a large patio area outside.
Highly recommended
