The Alwyne Castle, Islington
I can only wish I read these reviews before I went to the Alwyne Castle - Great outdoor and indoor space completely ruined by incompentent staff who can't deal with basic drink orders at the most quiet of moments. The food is just plain awful, I've never known a pub to get a roast dinner so terribly wrong - to the point where I have gone through the hassle of wanting to warn anybody I can to avoid it at all cost.
I mean a ROAST! Water gravy, tasteless cabage, butter carrots that just taste over boiled, and roats potatoes that tasted like they were re-boiled - yes boiled from last week. And for this �9??? Come on. Tell your friends. Avoid the FOOD like it has the plaugue.
