The Pineapple, Kentish Town

I have lived in Kentish Town for almost two years now and pop into the Pineapple several times a year. On the surface it seems to have a lot going for it: Great interior, cosy and so on, but there's something about it that rubs me up the wrong way. The bar staff rate themselves too highly in the attitude stakes and it doesn't truly feel like 'my' neighbourhood boozer but I'll try to make more appearances this year and perhaps try the pub quiz and see if I warm to the place. I definitely recommend it to people to pop in for a quick 'arf if they're in the area.

The Junction Tavern, Kentish Town

The Junction is quite local to me and I have always had great experiences taking friends there for an outdoor meal. It's easy to be swept up by it all that I find that the bill at the end of the night is higher than most places I would eat and drink at. But what the hell, it's a great experience. I haven't been when it's really busy but I am sure you have got to choose your times carefully.

The Lord Palmerston, Dartmouth Park

Quite pleasant. Have only visited on barmy summer evenings and sat outside. As others have remarked, it's superb if you get a table outside but the fellow drinkers do ooze a little too much attitude for my liking. Good food though.
