The World's End, Patching

We went to the World End last night with some friends for what we expected to be a pleasant evening out with a nice meal. This was as a result of visiting another pub within the same chain a few months ago in Dorset. On that occasion we received a lovely reception, a really nice meal with excellent service and all within a lovely atmosphere.
What a contrast!
At The Worlds End we walked in and were met by a barman who, after almost walking away, turned and said “Yes”. We introduced ourselves and were then told “Your on table 2. Its down the end on the left”. “Oh, and you’ll have to order at the bar as we’re short of staff”.
Well, we found the table (by the toilets and the door to the garden that some kids kept running in and out off) and duly went and ordered ‘at the bar’.
We were then told that 3 of our 4 choices were off the menu as they were out of stock! Eventually our starters arrived only for one of them to be stone cold and the others to be very poor quality. The entire meal was a disaster, badly cooked and poorly served. What atmosphere there was just made us want to leave. We would never go back here again.

The Lamb Inn, Rustington

This used to be a good eatery but now they have changed it and both food and service are awful. At a recent birthday treat, 7 meals ordered, 4 served and then 3 more 20 mins later. The steaks were tough and very over cooked even one of the burgers was cremated!!! When will they learn - if it aint broke, don't mend it! Never again will I eat or drink here!
