At one point in time a pub was a pub, friendly service and good food. Now people seem to think their local should be "Claridges" or the "The Savoy Grill".

Very much the everyman�s pub.

Much better now due major refurbishment and redesign.

The comments in this review thread referring to �ASBO�s�,�Yobbos� and �Giros�, are all very telling of the misinformed unfounded middle-class attitudes and snobbery of the area.

If you want a down-to-earth pub with good beer and food, this is the pub for you�

(This is a pub that serves good food, it is not a restaurant that happens to be a pub)
