McGlynns, Kings Cross

We held our Christmas party here on Tuesday 14th December and can confirm we made a very good choice. McGlynns has been included on our socials a few times in the past and we have always enjoyed ourselves in this very traditional back street pub.

On the night of the party, as well as the usual Courage Best, two guest beers were available, Scrooge from Robinsons and Double Dark Oatmeal Stout from Caledonian, the latter being very drinkable with its sweet and smooth taste very detectable. All three beers were in good condition and were very popular with our members.

The buffet provided was more than ample and a good mixture of pub grub that more than soaked up the beer. The staff were attentive and friendly and the whole night went very well as remarked upon by our members since.

Our thanks to Jerry and his staff for a memorable evening. Do pop in if you are ever in the Kings Cross area. It is more of a traditional pub compared to the bigger pubs on the main roads. The beer and food are reasonably priced and the menu provides good pub grub for everyone.
