Proper Sam Smith's boozer frequented by proper old geezers and lamentable civil servants. �1.70 a pint of best - you can't go wrong.

Home to Kamilla (tall, brunette) definitely the hottest barmaid in all of Victoria, if not London. Great pub for a game of darts.

Gets proper busy on Friday evenings when hordes of grey-suited, grey-haired, grey-skinned civil servants shuffle in for Joan's/Derek's/Keith's* leaving drink.

St. George's Tavern, Victoria

Weird pub, this, which isn't surprising given its location right close to Victoria train and coach stations. Lots of solitary drinkers. Decent pub for watching sport at. No big screens but you can't help to get a good view of one of the little tellies. Decent cheap ale, too. The Ultimate Burger (half-pounder, cheese, mushrooms, bacon, fried-egg, onion rings) for �6 isn't quite as Ultimate as I'd have liked, but is still pretty Ultimate.

The Shakespeare, Victoria

Really massive, really poor pub. Good as a meeting place for those unfamiliar with Victoria but nowt else. Met up with some mates in here near Christmas and it took the girl about 10 minutes to sort three pints of Guinness. She was scraping the foam off with a straw and all sorts! Woeful!
