Ye Olde Mitre Inne, Barnet

This is the best pub in the surrounding area by miles. It has a lot of character both inside and out with a cracking beer garden that has a retractable roof.
There is a big selection of beers and the Guinness is excellent. All the real ales are very well kept, I can recommend the Deuchars.
You will never wait to be served by the team of professional staff, regardless of how busy it is.
A proper traditional pub.

The White Lion, Barnet

I have been here a couple of times recently. The place isn't that clean, hardly anyone goes there and The London Pride isn't good. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bierschenke, Liverpool Street

I first went there during the summer and I have been back several times. They serve authentic Bavarian food of a very good quality and there is plenty of it.
It is usually busy and the atmosphere is great. During The Oktoberfest celebrations it was rammed, there was a great vibe with live music.
The staff are all German, and are very efficient and friendly.
There is a great selection of German beer, including three house beers brewed exclusively for Bierschenke in Bavaria. I can recommend the unfiltered lager.
Call in when you are passing, you won't be disappointed.
