The Pickwick Inn, St Issey

THE Best chips!!! Certainly not frozen on our visit, home-made, piping hot, crispy and delicious! We had a lovely lunch-time meal, and cannot fault anything really.
Beautiful surrounding scenery.

My only comment is that the menu cheapens the experience..........cheap and tatty, time to get into this century!

Quarryman, Edmonton

Brilliant staff, always very warm and welcoming and friendly.
A great pub - the bar is excellent, with big spacious tables and loads of interesting memorabilia to browse.
The food is lovely, but I do have a couple of points....
1. the menu doesn't change very much - we were staying locally and at the end of a long day out didn't want to have to get back in a car to go eat. the menu became monotonous by the middle of the week.
2. frozen chips!! Fabulous steaks spoilt by frozen chips!

On the plus side:
1. Guest beers were great, and the Cornish Knocker was particularly well recieved.
2. The t-bone steak was the best I have ever had........including my own!!

If you are in the area, call in, you won't be disappointed, a great, traditional, country pub with great people, great beers, great food and a great atmosphere!
