The GlassHouse, New Malden

My family and I decided to visit the Glasshouse on Easter Sunday for a family get together, we decided to book as we thought it was going to be busy, oh! it was busy, it was full of kids. The front of the pub was overrun with toddlers and children, and there was very limited parental control, please don't get me wrong we had two very young children with us but they would not have been allowed to get away with what these children where doing.....we made our way to the dining room only to find we were the only diners there, this made for a very lonely dining experience. We were just going to get up and leave (the screaming kids didn't help) and the Watchman were selling food but no alcohol when we decided to stick it out, big mistake! The food was cold, the main course (roast dinner) had things on none of us could identify the starter was ok and the pudding was lovely but the portions were to small but I suppose this is alacarte dining, now for three adults and one toddler plus drinks we were charged a grand total of 102 pounds, yep thats right 102 pounds, the only drinks we had were 2 halves of larger and 2 tonic waters. We won't be visiting again in a hurry unless its late evening.......this really is a pub for yummy mummys and daddies, give it a miss!
