The Royal Oak, Rusper

I invited some real ale enthusiasts to join me at the Royal Oak last week. Their individual reviews came with the look of utter heaven on their faces when working through the large choice of exceptional ales! The Royal Oak is without doubt a rare example of a real old traditional public house and a treasure to behold for ale drinkers! The roaring log fire and great banter were included for free as were the coffees for our nominated driver. A most excellent evening.

The Plough Inn, Ifield

It's easy to forget that this pub is in Crawley. Way out on the edge of town approaching the countryside and set by the 13th C. Ifield Church. A fair sized pub with sun terrace out front. Hall & Wodehouse Beers which are well kept. A decent pub and usually fairly busy.

The BreweryShades, Crawley

This pub has had it ups and downs. I believe it very much on an up at the moment. True, it's in Crawley which isn't good but it is good amongst what this own has to offer. They have a decent selection of real ales with regulars from the Dark Star brewery. The staff are friendly and the food is reasonably priced. If you are looking for real ales in Crawley it's here or the Swan.
