The Leather Bottle, Wimbledon Chase

A gem in an otherwise pub-free area. Friendly staff, good beers (of all kinds) but Greene King IPA and Abbot always a treat. Some good guest ales too. Really good food as well.

The Bricklayers Arms, Luton

Luton's finest pub, great selection of well-kept "session-strength" ales. Very friendly bar staff and locals too, ranging from poets and musicians to normal people. Plenty to look at on the walls if your mate's at the bar too.

The Black Horse, Luton

I'm delighted to say that the Gents toilets aren't nearly as bad as the below comments make out.

Anyway, the important stuff: Very nice and well-kept beer (I tried one of the Oakhams and then sessioned with Hobgoblin). Very friendly staff and a real open fire for instant cosiness. A fine alternative to the Bricklayers if you find yourself on the other side of the tracks.
