Ye Olde Greene Manne, Rickmansworth

I live in Pinner and there are no decent pubs within 5 miles except Ye Old Green Man. Really like the pub, beer is always on good form, the Timothy Taylor Landlord that I had the other week was so damn good that I had 3 pints. Glad that they don't let anklebiters run amok, not everyone wants to see badly behaved children when they are drinking their beer.

The Gunmakers, Clerkenwell

I had no idea Jeff Bell was gay, he certainly doesn't seem that way inclined. Anyway that aside it is good to see a pub run by someone who has a genuine passion for real ale.

The Waggon and Horses, Elstree

I paid a visit last week after a 20+ year absence, the pub is much larger than it used to be and looks really great. I loved the real fires, beams, comfy armchairs and real Christmas tree. The beer was on very good form with festive guest ales on. There is now live music on certain nights. I'll definitely be back, the only downside, you need a car to get to there as it is a fair old walk from Elstree station along busy Watling Street.
