The Master Mariner, Barry

This is a pretty decent pub, a country mile away from the past reputation it unfairly suffers from! A bit drab on the outside but clean and bright inside! A large bar and lounge both showing six taps and two hand pulls! Skittle alley, dart board, large screens for the sport, three pool tables! (over doing it on the pool tables). So what would help this pub? Some beer would be nice, regularly runs out and has taken to selling cans of late, who wants to drink a can in a pub for gawds sake!

The pub still stands tho sadly now a tesco! The irony is you can still get a beer here!

The Lion, Newbury

Hmmm! the words Dummy! and pram! spring to mind i must say!

The real disappointment here is the temporary landlord of two weeks prior your visit was not made permanent!
