The Bishop, East Dulwich

Hear-Hear!! � All of this bitchin about the Bishop is not on! � The place is, in my humble opinion the best Public House in the East Dulwich area. There are a number of other fabulous drinking establishments which collectively offer a diversified experience in the local area, but by far the Bishop typifies the positive independent gentrification which is now so rare in London. From my understanding and correct me if I�m wrong; the former �Foresters Arms� was the kind of hell-hole that presented a catalyst for social derogation to manifest itself in an area. The Bishop has presented not only a strong even keel balance between somewhere that during the weeks is hospitable enough that the general day-time clientele comprises of mothers with children and local business representatives conducting meetings; and somewhere that come evening, people orientate toward to celebrate each-other�s company. The music is good, the food is good [although slightly over priced � apart from the Sunday roast] and the staff provides a character of their own � I mean what do you want somewhere that is just sterile and void of genuine personality? > I think not. Be thankful that there are places like the Bishop preside rather than a �harvest eater� or McDonalds�
Plus � If there are �chavs� who occasionally frequent the place � What would you prefer? > For some heavy weight corporate investment in local regeneration come in, which would drive the poor chavs out by making all the living cost sky-rocket�.

Come on � tell me I�m wrong, let�s hear those whinnying little tones about how I don�t like this and I don�t like that � Then remember you sound like a sniveling little sap! Perhaps I can buy you a baby-sham darling! Hahaha�
