Has the feel of someone's front room, which every pub should have. Friendly landlady. Shame the beer was past its best.

The Crown Inn, Salisbury

A food pub, not much atmosphere for the drinker, but stools at the bar. Staff friendly and the food is good.

The Malet Arms, Newton Tony

Superb home made food, very highly recommended. Excellent choice of well kept local ales. Roaring fire. Dog friendly. Shame there are not more locals at the bar in the evenings. Well worth a visit.
