The Mortimer Arms, Bloomsbury

Friendly crowd visiting this place: a mix of tourists and people from nearby offices. Especially busy during sports events, covered from a number of plasma tellies and a big screen in the back. Very good Thai food menu, nice selection of beers and a few decent wines. In othe words: all good here :)

The Cat and Mutton, Hackney

decent pub that focuses more on food than on drink, as indicated by the changing menu and the large tables for seating.. attracts a trendy young crowd.. good for food, forgettable for drinks
