Old Down Inn, Chilcompton

Visted with the family end of May 2011, while staying at the caravan site opposite. VERY welcoming and friendly, with quite a few locals at the bar at 6:30 midweek. We sat and ate in the restaurant area which became quite busy before we left. Four of us (two children) had four different dishes, and four plates were cleared. I asked for my steak to be as blue as allowed, and it was a good rare steak.
More importantly, the Butcombe was good, evidenced by my wife joining me in a second pint.
