The Welcome Stranger, St Leonards on Sea

I went to this pub for a Christmas meal on sat 21st December and it was disgusting. I was part of a group 11 of us. The meal was pre ordered I had a very under ripe melon to start with that had been scored but not cut! The knife on the table was not sharp enough to cut into it so asked for sharper knife my son could not cut into his at all so ordered another starter of prawn cocktail. I had very dry over cooked salmon for my main with over cooked vegetables and a thick custard consistency sauce that had no flavour! It was in edible!! My son & partner had the traditional roast turkey dinner with over cooked vegetables too!! So traditional there were no sprouts or pigs in blankets. It was just an over priced roast dinner that they charge £8.99 for on a Sunday but as it was a Christmas special the meal was £14.99 each. This included a glass of wine or in my 27 year old sons case half a glass!! I had to ask for this to be topped up! The deserts were all sugar loaded (I am diabetic) so asked for cheese & biscuits which were served. No reduction was made for my meal, I work for one of the biggest employers in the area & have told all my friends & colleagues about this awful meal.
