The Kings Head, Acton

Wow what an improvement - I'd heard The Kings Head had just been taken over by new owners so checked it out wondering how different it would actually be - pleasantly surprised! Really welcoming atmosphere, definitely improved clientele, gorgeous open fire at the back and quirky chaise lounges - I'll be back for a few glasses of red and some pizza!

The George and Vulture, Hoxton

I love this pub and have recently made it my new-found local since it was taken over by new owners and given a well deserved revamp. I'm not one for trendy bars but prefer a friendly, slightly quirky whilst traditional pub and this hits the mark spot on! Good nights to bear in mind are Tuesday for the quiz and every other Thursday for the acoustic night-fab music! Look out for the half pint old school sweets...can't go wrong!
