An absolute dive. Only used by people because there is nowhere else.

The staff were rude. One even huffing when I requested a clean glass as mine was covered in what looked dried out beans.

There is no atmosphere, the beers are not well kept and the music/TV always seems to be on a ridiculously high volume setting.

Only upside is the lunches are reasonably priced and the food isn't bad at all, plus you never have to wait long for it to turn up.

However, in the evenings avoid at all costs unless your knuckles drag on the floor and you like yelling "F*cking Hell" at footy on the TV as often as you can.

The Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth

Been here a few times now on various pretences and can't find much to grumble about. I went for a big meeting of mates in summer and the garden was really nice to sit and relax in, with plenty of booze and plenty of room.

Another weekend I was in for a big birthday bash and we had a nice big table in the decked area. Definitely have no complaints over seating, ambience etc. Maybe more beers would do the pub justice, but having eaten here too, I can safely say the food is nice too (have the lamb!!).

All in all a good pub, friendly clientele, stunning ladies in attendance every time I've been, there is good service and the food and drinks are pretty reasonably priced. I'll be going back, especially since the Jolly Gardener is now so bad.

The Cittie of Yorke, Holborn

Jumped in here after work as needed a boozer near Chancery Lane in which to meet some mates.

Very pleasantly surprised. Considering it was 19:00, I was expecting the usual London City crowd, but there was no pretence, nor obnoxious gobshites.

The premium pure brewed lager was as good as some of the stuff I used to have in Germany and I got change out of �10 for three pints.....that doesn't happen that often in the middle of London!

Whether the decor is new or not, at least it feels like a pub and not yet another soul-less bar with a trendy name.

The service was swift and friendly, and they poured my lager with a decent Germanic head on it - nice and fresh!! Def go back!
