The Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell

The staff are probably the most friendly, efficient, and helpful in all of London. I met up with some friends one night and although the place was rammed, the staff were great hosts and really took the time to deliver quality service. Great experience. Incredible beer, particularly the Porter. Finally, I've eaten there twice and both times have found the food to be delicious and at a fair price.

Kings Head, Crouch End

I live in Archway so the beer prices are astronomical by my standard. Still, their draft selection is absolutely stellar, easily the best in the area. They have both outstanding continental beers like Franziskaner on draft as well as a solid lineup of Real Ale with no shit, token bitters. For a poncy bar, the staff are efficient and friendly. Worth checking out for the beer alone.
