The Royal George, Hersham

The RG has just had a bit of a re-vamp. Youngs have done a good job tarting it up. They've made a very good job of the old saloon bar, which probably hadn't been decorated for 30 years, but is now very cozy.

If you were put off by the previous scruffyness of the pub, it's worth giving it another look. Still a great little neighbourhood local, with excellent Thai food, but now much more pleasant inside.

The Bell Inn, Hampton

There are some iffy reviews down there. All I can say is that I just dropped in for a couple of pints on a Tuesday evening with me dawg and we were made welcome. The beer (I had the Doom Bar) was in good nick. Each end of the pub was set out for eating, which seems a lot, but the important bit around the bar had bar stools and comfy seats, so not much to complain about. The staff were a bit slow but friendly. If it was more local I'd be happy to while away a few hours there.

La Terraza, Walton-On-Thames

I'm not sure why my last review got deleted. It only mentioned that this isn't a pub, it's a Spanish restaurant with a bar area. It's non the worse for that, though. Great food at a really good price and with a lively atmosphere.
