Update since my last visit 12 months ago. Children are now allowed in the Churchill room under supervision. Decent food and friendly service, handy for stopping off the M3.

The Railway Inn, Pelsall

Opposite Pelsall Common. Good ales and food, reasonably priced and friendly staff and customers. Time has stood still here but then progress isn't always a good thing.

The White Swan, Digbeth

I like this place, especially the neat Victorian style tiled corridor that leads to the cosy back room
