Great for tourists and anyone who wants a cheapish beer. Massive pub. Too dark inside and needs a refurb. (apparently gettin one soon!) Good range of beer but if u have to pick between the two wetherspoons it will be the west gate in at the other end of town by a long way!

Fanstastic range of beers. nice garden for the summer and great open fire for the winter!

The Old Buttermarket, Canterbury
Very good for the tourists but thats about it! Food is not too bad but service is and always has been slow. seems to be down to been so short staffed all the time.

The Jolly Sailor pub is still open at 75 Northgate. It is also not ran by shepheard Neame. The pub is very much a student pub with quite a good atmosphere. Tends to be a good one to go and watch the rubgy in.

Westgate Inn, Canterbury
Nice since it has been refurbed and gone non smoking. Good range of beers. Food is not too bad at all.
