The Argyll Arms, Oxford Circus

Lovely interior and a really central location. The wine was lukewarm but drinkable. The ladies toilet upstairs was filty and they did stink.

Holly Bush, St Albans

What a wonderful gems of a pub this is. Shame it is so far from civilisation - because you have to drive to it and can only have onr drink. I had a love pint of ale and a ploughmans for lunch. Fantastic place.

Plough, Hemel Hempstead

This was such lovely local pub. It did have fantastic fresh food - the fish in particular. The atmosphere used to be lovely. Nice and friendly and homely and welcoming. Unfortunately not anymore. Boil in the bag food and cloudy ale. Very poor service. No not a patch on what it was. Very sad.

The Dartmouth Arms, Dartmouth Park

Just moved into the area and I've stumbled on the Dartmouth Arms. I was a bit unsure of it from the outside. The blackboards look old and dated. But entered to a lovely open fire and a friendly, polite Scotish man behind the bar. Had a glass of nicely chilled dry white wine - something that is hard to come by in pubs these days. I was really surprised at how nice and friendly the place was and at how bad wall paper could be. I've been back quite a lot over the past few weeks. A great local.
