The Old Ball, Horsforth

Refurbed about 6 months ago. Much better & cleaner.
Prices have gone up a bit for drinks & food so generally better class of people.
Due to stange fence in the garden area the sloped beer garden does not get used anymore, which is a shame as this was the main feature for this pub in yeateryear. Oh yeah & the dogs on the roof have gone too

The Fox and Hounds, Horsforth

Following my comments about a year ago the pub has been refurbed & publicans have changed. Great atmosphere, great drinks (even if some of the younger staff can;t pull real ale properly). Loos still ropey.
Overall much improved, typical Ember inn.

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Cityboozer - The Scottish Chap who runs the pub is Called Eamon Scott "Scotty"
Great pub, great couple Scotty & Cathy are very friendly. Surprisingly clean for a pub with so many nick nacks & odds & ends.

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Great real ale pub in the heart of the city. Welcoming landlord & landlady. Historical pub well worth a visist for great drinks, shortly to be taking part in CAMRA Milds for May. This pub is naturally quirky, not falsly aged. Will visit Scotty & his team again. 10/10

Maze Inn Bar, Oakwood

Visited this Bar in Sunday Night. Fantastic! Did not dine here, but drinks well kept. House red wine above average (and at correct temperature not too cold not too hot). Shame they don't serve nibbles other than nuts though. Piano solo taking place created great atmosphere. People leaving comments coparing this bar to the Merryhills need to move with the times, it is same address but differant place.

The Old Ball, Horsforth

I've seen loads of fights in here. Best thing about this pub is that I keeps the Chav element away from better pubs.

The Fox and Hounds, Horsforth

Used to be good quality pub, but now seens a little unloved. Dispite going into this pub at least once a week for last years of so, landlord doesn't acknowledge our presence (almost diliberatly ignoring us). Said Landlord has v good name for real ale but staff generally do not know how to pull a pint. Food is of a microwaved 2 for 1 standard, not that of a quality ember inn. Shame, needs injection of time, money & personality.

Old Broken Cross, Rudheath

Like Johnollier I have had a similar dealing whereby the landlady of this pub has been abrupt and hung up on me. I find this very childish.
