Pub has a new owner and a new name (New Sussex Hotel) and has been rehabbed. They've done a good job, there's 3 real ales on tap which are well kept.

The Swiss Cottage, Shoreham by Sea
Standard issue Brewer's Fayre pub, good for families with kids, nice duck pond, a couple of real ales but not a boozer or good real ale pub (agree with Uncle_Dunkel)

Chain pub or not, it's a decent enough place, clean, prices are reasonable enough (won't give US tourists fits) , beer was good, does not have outdoor seating.

The Golden Lion, Goring By Sea
Not sure what all the slating is about, looked like clean and friendly place to me! Not a big selection of real ales but the GK Abbot was well kept.

Very nice folks, attentive barstaff, clean, quiet, Adnams Broadside a bit dear @ �2.80 but very tasty.

The Moonraker, Three Bridges
New owners, cleaned the place up nice. Now has live music and a decent couple of real ales (Harveys + London Pride)
