ive been on a few occasions as food is cheap, quick and staff are nice. Ive never been when its busy as i only go in the week but obviously i understand how hard it is to get midweek business at the minute. The pubs set below the main road so it can easily be missed! Decor is simple and easy on the eye. I dont mind spending money as its going to people who run the business rather than a chain. Very cosy and relaxed inside. Looking forward to going out for a few weekend drinks here too!!

Wouldnt be my first choice to go to as i enjoy proper restaurants where the food is made to order and run by a family etc etc but food was really nice great value for money staff were efficient and polite didnt need to ask for anything. will definately return!

Very remote!! Nice pub food for good prices, has a lot of character, wasnt very busy but alot of places are struggling at the moment which i can understand. my boyfriend isnt an expert on beer but he managed to down a few pints so cant have been bad! Need to do something to attract more business though as they have a huge field out the back and loads of potential...

Visited this pub/restaurant last saturday night after being reccomended by my hairdresser. Although having read a couple of reviews on here worried me slightly, off i went. Had a warm welcome pleased ot see bar service with a smile! I noticed the decor was in need of a facelift but i spoke to the waitress and she said it was planned for early next year as the decor is currently 20 yrs old!!! All i could smell was food and the log fire which was burning away (not the smell of toilets which was the main thing i was worried about!!) we both had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection and the chips really were homemade!!! Did wonders for me sticking to my diet!!! Deserts did take a while to come though which was the only problem for me but the 2 waitresses were lovely and talkative . The atmosphere was buzzy and homely. Basically... Great food, nice atmosphere, lovely staff, needs decorating but you forget about it while your there because everything else is nice! Its sad to see a place like this being slated as its one of the few remaining pub/restaurants which isn't a chain. I will definitely return very soon!

Lovely decor, well written and thought of menu and on my first visit it was lovely and i had no problems, couldnt have faulted it. Returned on sunday and even though staff were polite, the atmosphere was lovely and decor was still nice the food wasnt the same quality. Our food took literally minutes tobe delivered so i had barely had one bite into the bread and oils My roast lamb was fatty, i couldnt cut my potatoes, veg was basically raw, no one checked back to see if we were okay and i couldnt get anyonesattention for another drink as staff seemed panicked and running around and the desert we had was pretty pricey!! It may just have been a bad experience but it puts me off returning!! Sorry :(

Lovely pub from outside, warm welcome on arrival however i have a suspicion the food is not cooked on the premises and i found it tasteless and as if it had been reheated. Shame really as it could be a lovely pub!

Pub as been redecorated for first time in over 20 years!! (Which was probably why it was shut) Landlord is really friendly, cant fault the food, Its cheap, nice atmosphere, Really like the fire! Their tub chairs are comfy too! Great decision to redecorate as its what it needed!
