The County Arms, Wandsworth Common

A good Young;s house with excellent beer and goodish food. Like so many Youngs pubs though, the prices are unreasonably high. Youngs really do overcharge.

Trafalgar Freehouse, South Wimbledon

Has a lot going for it re. range of ales, music etc., but the furniture is awful and it does smell. Also, not being a local, we did not feel very welcome.

The Hope, Wandsworth Common

Great pub with a good range of beers, lagers and types of wine. Decent food too and a great location. Highly recommended.

The Spinning Wheel, Northfields

Not a great place. Not too friendly and no draught ales. Decidely average.

The Plough Inn, South Ealing

Lovely pub. Really excellent range of draught Fullers beers and draught and bottled lagers. Busy, friendly, and well above avgerae food. A really top local.

The Royal (Harvester), Boston Manor

Boring bland chain pub with boring bland food.

The Kings Arms, Hanwell

This pub is a hole. Full stop. Why any self-respecting person would drink here is beyond me. Actually, only the dregs of humanity do.

The Drayton Court, West Ealing

Top boozer. Good for watching the football without the football taking the place over. One big bar doesn't have a screen. Huge garden and goodish food. And they keep the Fullers ales well. Highly recommended. Second only to the red Lion in Ealing.

Flanagans, West Ealing

I don't rate this pub, No real ale for starters and not terribly welcoming if you are not 100% 'OIrish.. The Sunday roasts are large but very average.

The Forester, West Ealing

A bit dark inside, but rejuvenated to an extent by the Tao restaurant, which is well above average Thai food. Good pint of Courage best and Guiness. A local's local, and I rather like it the way it is.

Red Lion, Ealing

Wonderful Fullers pub neat the Ealing Film Studios with lots of memorabilia. They keep the beer at the right temperature, and the food is excellent. Relaxed ambience. Everything a pub should be.

The Castlebar, West Ealing

A top bar. Good range of beers, well above avterage food, and a friendly hard-wording landlord who also organises excellent food & wine tasting evenings 2 or 3 times every summer.
Along with the Drayton, the best pub in West Ealing.

Ashbys, West Ealing

Drab unwelcoming pub with no real ale at all. Compeletely ourshone by its excellent neighbour, The Castle Bar.
