Now more restaurant than pub, with small couched drinking area and everything else set for dining. Nice big garden but no use in rain. Spitfire ok

Excellent pint of Brakspear's Gold. Food is very good, high gastro standard. Liked the potted pork but felt guilty having seen the pigs kept around the back !

The Royal Albert, St Mary Cray
This pub has re-opened, and sells well kept Courage Best from the pump. Received friendly welcome and decent beer, better than that on offer from pubs in Orpington High Street. Has pool table. Nearly did not not visit due to 'To Let' sign hanging outside, but glad that I did.

No draught beer on pumps, but well kept Harvey's straight from barrel. Boats fun.

Found pub again after driving in circles through countryside for an age. Worth finding - excellent pint of Riptide in great garden.

Beer OK but served fish and chips where fish was so off that it still stank after being deep fried.

The Fox and Hounds, Romney Street
Excellent pint of locally brewed 'Fox' beer. Pub dogs were Dalmations - nothing like the hound shown on pub sign.

Excellent pint of dark star. Found pub while lost, not sure if could ever find it again, but will certainly try.

Excellent pint of 'house rough' cider, nice bar billiards table as well.

Stopped off at end of walk and was pleased to find pub open late in afternoon during week, and the Harveys was excellent.
Went back in evening on Friday for fish night (to avoid eternal damnation - according to landlord !) and can thoroughly recommend the food.

Absolutely fantastic pint of 'Georges Marvellous Medicine' beer, made by the Westerham brewery, to recipe specified by new landlord/owner of this pub. This beer is a crisp bitter, with an excellent flavour, using local hops, and was a pint to appreciate. There is also Westerham Grasshopper beer, but after tasting the medicine, I was hooked.

Walked in to sound of 'stairway to heaven' from Led Zep - fantastic ! Tried pint of Wibbly (Denge Essex) - not bad, decided to try it again. Friendly bar maid was fantastic, made stangers feel at home. Nice pub. Shame missed beer festival on May Day Bank Hol. Next one is August Bank hol. Wibbled home.

Nice Greene King IPA, haunted seat in corner provides extra chill. Sharing plate for 2 with UK pork Pie, ham, cheese, bread was excellent.

The Queens Head, Green Street Green
Need to pay to use car park. 12 year old daughter not allowed in pub. Unwelcoming bar staff. Pint of Harveys that tasted off. What a pub !

Fantastic pint of Dark Star. Amazing selection of ciders and perries - one cider called Jungle Juice was especially good.

Just got back from fantastic holiday in Bali and needed some English Traditional food and half decent bottle of red wine. The White Bear did not disappoint other than having just run out of Steak & Kidney puds (exactly whats needed for typical Bank Holiday cold night). Had to have liver/bacon instead, and the Woolmarroo red wine was great. Some decent beers as well, but could not mix grain/grape. Have joined dining club, but it did not apply to bank holidays (what a surprise), and forgot to ask whether it applies to having a few pints only. Still, its a great pub with terrific atmosphere, hence high rating below.

Visited Pub recently, had some half decent music on big screen, and served excellent Youngs bitter. Wish they had had Youngs Special.

Pub closed years ago. Now a stabling yard for horses. Please remove this pub from list.

The Shipwrights Arms, Faversham
Great place to get "Shipwrecked", real ale brewed by Goachers. Friendly service, great food, easily reached from Faversham via saxon shore footpath. Very old building and haunted corner add to the atmosphere.
