One of the worst of a bad bunch of bars in Canary Wharf. Incredibly slow bar staff (why?) and the usual business bores as clientele.

Although the ales are generally satisfactory, this bar is well below Fullers' usual standards. The other night the music was turned up so loud at 6pm that conversation was almost impossible. Why not turn the music off and try to be a bit different from other Canary Wharf bars?

Went there for a friend's birthday party. Friendly, proper locals' pub, CAMRA-friendly, London Pride and Old Speckled Hen in good condition.

I should point out that it was a customer, not the staff, who asked the offensive question.

When you are asked "Who the **** are you?" when you have innocently popped in to watch the football, you know that this is a place to avoid. There are several vastly better pubs nearby.

Appalling place. Stupid dress code, rude staff, poor beer range. Avoid.

Re "Anonymous" comment 6 April 06 and others, to make a complaint, contact Regent Inns plc, 77 Muswell Hill, London, N10 3PJ (020 8375 3000). Also buy a few shares and make yourselves a nuisance at the AGM!

One of the finest pubs in London. Ever-changing range of interesting ales, decent punters and good atmosphere. Great jazz too.

Interesting interior, good to see that it hasn't been knocked into one bar. Extremely cheap bitter, though quality is variable. Quiet pub, a rarity for this area.

Recent lunchtime visit spoiled by a total nutter who persistently intimidated the few punters present, and the bar staff encouraged him! Drank up quickly and left.

The Goose, Beckenham
Beer quality adequate. That's about it. Aggressive, threatening clientele, some so drunk that it MUST hasve been illegal to continue serving them (and that was at 6:30 in the evening!). Grafitti scratched on the tables, a very unwelcoming place. Avoid.
