The Dog House, Kennington

Awesome awesome awesome little boozer, great decor, great huge tables for chatting with big groups, good msuic, lots of space, funky chilled atmopshere. Love it. Food maybe not AMAZINg but totally ok - the staff seemed nice as well.

The Man of Aran, Kentish Town

I live a stone's throw literally from this place but I know nothing about it; though judging by the distrubing caterwauling than comes from there every Saturday night (karaoke i think) I can wholeheartedly suggest avoiding it.

The Abbey, Kentish Town

Cool - liked it - went in one afternoon for a beer and some lunch and wobbled merrily out at 8pm - the staff were friendly and relaxed - no one pushed us off our table when we hadn't ordered a drink for about an hour - the food was really nice and worth the money - all in all - a great place.

The Rising Sun, Tottenham Court Road

Strangely i like this place - maybe cos i always fall into it after a hard days shopping or just before the cinema - but i always seem to have a good time here - i cannot explain why except that its mildy inoffensive, the beer is cheap, the tables are big and you can always find a seat.

The Royal Court Tavern, Sloane Square

This pace is an utter shambles. Zero atmosphere, very smoky and dead - empty and desolate. Plus there was a guy there so drunk he could hardly stand up who insisted on insulting and absuing my friends and I. The barstaff did nothing except for laugh at us and him and serve him more alcohol. When we complain they laughed at us more and muttered to each other behind the bar. Apalling in every sense of the word - nearly ruined my night.
